These frisky kittens arrived at MAH in spring 2021. They are not blood siblings, but siblings by heart. Together they rule MAH with their purrs. They love to play with dogs' tails, chase each other down the hallway, and ask for pets.

Dr. McPhail grew up on a farm in Abbeville, SC. Doc did his undergraduate work at Clemson University and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1968 with his doctorate. He opened McPhail Animal Hospital in 1978. Doc has served as the President of the South Carolina Veterinary Association and has won SC Veterinarian of the Year as well as numerous awards for his work in forestry. He has two dogs, 2 cats, 7 birds, 3 turtles, and 2 beta fish (thanks to his wonderful wife).
Dr. Kennon attended Louisiana State University and graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinarian Medicine in 1985. He has worked at MAH for over 25 years. Dr. Kennon is married and has five children and has many grandchildren. He has two dogs and enjoys working with animals, spending time outdoors, and watching LSU football games!

Office Manager
Barbara has worked at MAH since she married into the practice in July 1979. She has a Masters in Speech Pathology and taught in Greenville for 39 years retiring in 2016. Since her two daughters left home, she has filled her “nest” with dogs, cats, birds, and turtles! In her spare time, she enjoys the theatre, pottery, painting, and traveling. On her off days, you can find her at the Art Haven honing her artistic skills.

Chuck is back after 2 years of "retirement." He just couldn't stay away...38 years and counting! He is happily married to Pretrenia and they have two amazing children - Cesley and Logan. Chuck enjoys star gazing with his german shepherd, Carson, reading, and watching NFL and college football.

Liz earned her BA in Spanish from Clemson in 2019 and also completed an Associates of Science. Her passion for animals shows all around. She is currently raising a visually impaired german shepard and a paralyzed kitten. Liz is always finding solutions to help animals enjoy life no matter what their limitations might be. She is obsessed with making things grow, watching reptiles and birds, and enjoying her Cuban roots.

Shiloh has been with MAH for over 7 years. She grew up in West Virginia with a passion for animals and nature and it led her to a 20+ year career in the veterinary field. Shiloh truly embodies her mantra "caring for animals is not what I do it's who I am!" She has taken in rescues to complete her family with her partner, Lee. They have two dogs, a yorkie mix & Shar Pei mix, and three rambunctious cats. She loves putting her green thumb to work, coffee, and binge watching dramas.
Receptionist
After working with us for 32 years, Paul Ann retired in 2016. Realizing that she needed to spice up retirement, she decided to come back to work! You can catch her on Wednesdays at MAH. When not at MAH, she is chasing around her four grandchildren and spending time with her husband George.
Groomer
Jennifer has been with MAH since 2003. She lives in Mauldin enjoys spending time with her daughter and spoiling her granddaughter rotten.
